Throughout my career I've been able to explore what makes individuals, groups, and organisations thrive.

And I've become convinced that getting clarity on three questions is essential to a thriving life - What is my core sense of purpose? What are my natural strengths? And what does living a life aligned to these look like practically? In other words, it's all about knowing your 'Why', 'How', and 'What'.

I know how easy it is to get stuck in circles of self-doubt and frustration with these questions. This is why I’ve started Core Purpose Coaching - to help individuals break out of confusion and into clarity using powerful strengths-based coaching approaches.

One example is Mark*, who was starting his career in FTSE 100 financial services company but struggling to connect his development pathway with his values. Through using a strengths-based psychometric tool I was able to coach Mark to make those connections, which transformed his engagement and effectiveness in his role.

My World

I work full-time as the Organisational Development lead for a large public sector organisation in the North East of England, where I am able to facilitate many conversations on aligning strengths and values to organisational purpose and strategy. Over my 12+ year career in L&D, Talent, and OD roles I have also worked for a global automotive business and a FTSE-100 financial services provider.

I am certified as a Gallup Clifton Strengths coach, Denison Culture practitioner, Insights Discovery practitioner, and hold a CIPD Level 7 post-graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management.

I live in England in the wonderful city of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne with my wife and two children. We love music, board games, and visiting the beautiful coast and countryside on our doorstep.
